This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Along while ago I remember reading a comment by an artist I like on dA who said that they don't like people who fav their work without commenting, and they figured it was just because of the female form that was on display in the picture. I felt so guilty at that time because I realised that is how my account would look, and I never meant it to be that way.
In truth, this account was started because I see so much beauty in the human form, and I have often loved drawing it. The pictures in this account were pictures the peaked my interest as an artist. Sadly however, I am not a very good artist so these works remain in sketch pads, and trash cans.
What I am slightly better with is words. But with no technical side to why I believe a photo works or doesn't I often didn't (and still don't) have anything to say to the fantastic artists I have favourited except that I love their work, which is plain as day by the fact that I am favouriting the work.
So in my mind, that ruled out using words.
Then I came across an idea - an idea that promotes the photographers on this community that I love so dearly, and that is to use my background (in journalism) to interview and feature artists. I have an idea of how to do this, but it remains at the moment just an idea...
I realise that barely anyone will see this as I favourite works and occasionally they visit me, but if you would like to be part of the process in working out how to make a feature like this work, please let me know and I will start taking this idea more seriously.
